Supporting the management of a £2 billion budget on behalf of the Scottish Government for the provision of trunk road and rail services throughout Scotland, including:

• financial and management accounting
• budgeting and forecasting processes
• ongoing monitoring and financial controls, including internal audit
• advice on corporate risk management, VAT, financial vetting

Analytical Services

Provide analytical support and advice across the transport agenda including:

• collecting, analysing and disseminating transport statistics
• commissioning and conducting research
• developing the technical guidance for Scottish Transport Appraisal Guidance (STAG)
• evaluating and assessing transport interventions
