Transport Appraisal and Modelling in Scotland (STAG / LATIS) User Group meeting
The LATIS user group was held jointly with the STAG user group on 7 February 2011.

November 2010 Newsletter
The November Newsletter, providing an update on LATIS service developments, model applications and milestones, is now available to view/download from the Newsletters page.

LATIS User Group Technical workshop
The first LATIS User Group Technical workshop was held on 21 April 2009 at the Roxburghe hotel in Edinburgh. The aim of the workshop was to introduce delegates to some of the more technical aspects underpinning the development and application of both TMfS07 and TELMoS07. The format of the day encompassed two streams of technical workshops running sumultaneously throughout the day. The event was attended by about 80 delegates.

LATIS models updated
The LATIS modelling capability, TMfS and TELMoS have both been updated to a 2007 Base. The 2007 TMfS model is a National Strategic model prepared with a key focusing on a having a level of detail commensurate with addressing national policy and strategic land use and transport interventions. It provides a key data source for travel demand and demographic information.

First Regional Model Developed
The first LATIS regional model was developed to help inform the Forth Replacement Crossing work. The Forth Regional Model was developed for use by Jacobs Consultancy and Arup on their work to inform the design of the new Forth road bridge.

Non-Technical Guide Arrives on the Website
The non-technical guide to TMfS is available in the LATIS Modelling Capabilities. The guide is ideal for anyone wishing to understand more about what is involved in TMfS and TELMoS and modelling in general.

Assembly of Planning and Policy Inputs (APPI) 2009
Scottish Water and Transport Scotland gathered data regarding planning allocations, development completions, re-development, demolitions and densification for each Planning Authority area to inform our planning and investment decision-making processes.
