Intellectual Property Rights
STEP is provided free of charge. However, the ownership and intellectual property rights (and copyright) of the STEP application, interface, data and procedures remain with Transport Scotland and MVA Consultancy (as defined by separate agreement).
By clicking on the ‘I accept’ button during installation (or by otherwise installing or using the software), you acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement.
Licences
The user shall have no licence to copy or use any of the application, interface, data or procedures outside terms agreed with Transport Scotland and MVA Consultancy.
Limitations
Transport Scotland and MVA Consultancy shall not incur any liability under, or in connection with, this release of the STEP application, interface, data or procedures, to the extent that any failure to perform any or all of its functions has been caused by, or contributed to by, any force majeure event or circumstances beyond reasonable control of Transport Scotland and/or MVA Consultancy.
The STEP application, interface, data and procedures are provided in good faith, and the user accepts full responsibility to satisfy itself of the accuracy, reliability and completeness of the information and no responsibility is accepted to any third party for the whole or any part of its content. No part of the contents nor any reference thereto may be included in any published document, circular or statement, nor published in any way without Transport Scotland and MVA Consultancy’s prior written agreement of the form and context of such text.
