A joint venture between Jacobs and Arup was appointed in December 2007 to complement Transport Scotland’s expertise in the delivery of major transport infrastructure projects.
The team, which also includes Flint & Neill Partnership, Dissing & Weitling and EC Harris, includes world-renowned engineering professionals who have been responsible for landmark projects including the Øresund crossing in Scandinavia, Stonecutters Bridge in Hong Kong, South Africa’s Nelson Mandela Bridge and the Channel Tunnel Rail Link.
In addition to major bridge and road design experience, the team brings expertise in transport modelling, environmental assessment and statutory processes.
The core team of consultants is co-located in Transport Scotland’s Glasgow headquarters alongside the agency’s own major infrastructure project team.
