Survey teams and fixed traffic counters have been deployed to monitor traffic levels since March 2008 to provide up-to-date information following the removal of tolls.
The traffic surveys will also confirm the latest traffic levels on the surrounding road network, junction vehicle turning counts and journey times.
These will also be used to ensure the road connections put in place for the crossing are designed to handle the traffic volumes and improve efficiency wherever possible.
