The uncovering of structures, surfaces and features was continued this week. The focus of this week has been cleaning Structure 10 in the central area. Structure 10 is believed to be the Pattern Shop, which is shown on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map of 1857.

An area of the Boiler Shop was also cleaned and prepared for recording this week, and cleaning of the area if the Turning Shop was also begun. A pre-excavation digital survey of the site was completed. This shows some similarities with the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map of 1857.
