How did you become involved in archaeology?
Through a friend in Aberdeen. I was studying engineering at the time but decided to try archaeology. I enjoyed working as an archaeologist so I have continued digging.
What aspect of the job do you enjoy the most?
Everyday is different and working outside.
What has been your most interesting find?
My most interesting site was a 19th century Church in Aberdeen city centre, which was built on earlier 11th and 9th century churches. On this site I found a pilgrims badge made of shell from the 11th century and also a gold ring found on a skeleton from the 9th century.
What are your interests outside work?
Socialising and traveling.
