The following traffic management arrangements will be in force from Friday, 27 August 2010.
Gloucester Street in the Kingston area of Glasgow will be permanently closed from Friday 4 June to accommodate the new junctions for the M74 Completion.
The road closed at 2000 hrs on Friday 4 June to accommodate the construction and future implementation of the new junction arrangements.
The signed route for traffic from Cook Street wishing to access the M8 westbound carriageway at the Carnoustie Street on ramp (Junction 20) will be via West Street, Wallace Street and Dalintober Street. New traffic signals will be installed at the junction of Wallace Street and Patterson Street to accommodate the new route.
The new route will be signed.
The carriageway between Scotland Street and Gloucester Street will be restricted to one lane in both directions for re-alignment and surfacing works on Carnoustie Street.
Lane closures will be in place on the following streets for the installation of drainage, street lighting ducts and traffic signal ducts:
Scotland Street
Dalintober Street
Carnoustie Street
Wallace Street
Gloucester Street
Cook Street
West Street
Eglinton Street is restricted to one lane in each direction at Devon Street for ongoing works on the new bridge across Eglinton Street and the adjacent rail lines.
Restrictions will be ongoing until late 2010.
Cathcart Road north of Aikenhead Road is restricted to one lane in each direction for ongoing works on the new bridge at Cathcart Road.
Restrictions will be in place until Autumn 2010.
Temporary traffic management is in place on Polmadie Road south of New Rutherglen Road for ongoing works on the new bridge over Polmadie Road.
Overnight closure of Polmadie Road between New Rutherglen Road and Calder Street between 2200 hours and 0600 hours on Monday 30 August until Saturday 4 September for bridgeworks.
Temporary traffic management is in place on Cambuslang Road east of Duchess Place as a result of continuing work on the new bridge over Cambuslang Road and on the new motorway junction. This restriction will be in place until late 2010.
Lane restrictions are in place on the Fullarton Road roundabout due to works on the new bridges over Fullarton Road and on the new motorway junction.
New Traffic Signals will be in operation on the Fullarton Roundabout from Tuesday 13 July 2010.
