The existing Hornshill Junction will be upgraded, to provide for all traffic movements between the M80 and the side road network.
The junction improvement will involve the construction of a second overbridge, located to the east of the existing structure, and the formation of a roundabout.
The existing M80 carriageway between Hornshill Junction and the Crow Wood Roundabout will be retained as a de-trunked all-purpose route.
