Young person's scheme

If you live in Scotland and are aged 16-18, you can save a lot of money on public transport.

All you need to do is apply for a Young Scot National Entitlement Card. You will then receive:

Full-time volunteers aged 19-25 are also eligible

You can apply if you are a full-time volunteer (30+ hours a week) aged between 19 and 25 (up to your 26th birthday) who has lived in Scotland for at least a year, thereby meeting the criteria for Project Scotland.

Ask your local line manager to provide a letter confirming you volunteer with them. When applying bring along the letter, together with a colour photo of you conforming to the standards required for passport applications.

Phone our concessionary travel team on 0141 272 7175 for help.

More information on how to apply and a list of Frequently Asked Questions are available elsewhere on the site.
