The overarching objective of the Waverley Steps project is to improve the access to Waverley Station from Princes Street for all users by providing weather protected, properly lit and step-free access.
The project will enable all passengers to have easier access to Princes Street. This will benefit those travelling with pushchairs, luggage and mobility impairments.
Transport Scotland will work closely with Network Rail throughout the construction phase of the project to ensure the specified benefits are realised. The project is due for completion by July 2012.
