This includes:

• Prioritising our  trunk road and motorway maintenance programme
• Prioritising our  trunk road bridge maintenance
• Undertaking an annual road condition survey
• Incident Management to reduce disruption associated with unplanned incidents
• Ensuring that our motorways and certain trunk roads are clear of litter
• Providing lighting along the trunk road network to ensure safe travel
• Providing an incident support service to help deal with incidents
• Improving areas near to trunk roads to minimise the risks of landslides.
