The route

The new section of dual carriageway follows the line of the existing A9.

Map showing location of A9 Crubenmore dualling works

The project commences at the termination of the existing section of dual carriageway, close to the Junction with the road from Crubenmore to Dalwhinnie. This junction will be upgraded as part of the works. The route then extends north for nearly two miles (3.2km) where it ties back in to existing single carriageway, south of the junction with the C44 Glentruim to Catlodge side road.
