The Pre-Appraisal process is the starting point and rationale for undertaking a STAG led study.

The Part 1 Appraisal is an initial appraisal of options generated during Pre-Appraisal.

The Part 2 Appraisal phase requires a more detailed appraisal of options taken forward from Part 1.

Once investment is committed and following implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation is essential.

This guidance comes into effect from the 28 May 2008. Practitioners who have started their STAG Report before this date may wish to continue using the earlier guidance, which can be accessed via the Archive page.

The worksheets, summary tables, and spreadsheets that are used during an appraisal are available from the Downloads section.
